Hi! My name is Madison Luker and I have recently adopted a retired racehorse and have been selected as a trainer for the 2017 Retired Racehorse Project. I am incredibly excited about this opportunity and through this website, I hope to promote the rehabilitation and retraining of retired racehorses.

Many times, once racehorses have ended their careers on the track, they are sold cheap at auctions to people who may plan to discard them through slaughter or abandonment. Among many other great organizations and people, I hope to stop this trend.  From my experience, many of these retired horses are highly intelligent and have incredible potential in different disciplines, they just need to be given the chance to learn.
